He looks so growing up in his pumpkin outfit for Halloween.
unfortunately, Martin is away tonight so we are going to open Jake's presents at the week end. It would be better as he is so tired in the evening.

Halloween Party!!!!

Today, we had our Halloween party! We had so much fun...
Adam in his bat costume...

Adam and Jake were very excited before people arrived to the party...

Everyone brings along a pumpkin and all the mums and dads carved the pumpkin together! Martin always carves Adam's pumpkin. This year, I had to carve one for Jake. He tried to help me with a big spoon....

...But Jake found out it was more fun to try to eat the pumpkin!!!!

For the party, Louise made a huge jelly in a big bucket. We put the bucket in a cardboard box and made a couple of holes on the top. The children had to put their arms in the jelly and tried to find spiders, snakes, mice, eyes....How scary!!!!

They loved it, even the teenagers had a go...And me!!!!

Then we all sang Happy Birthday to Jake. Adam and Daddy helped him to blow his first candle!!! I think he was more interested in that devil tail!!!!

Everyone had a lot of fun! The children ran around the house until very late....Judging by the state of the house and all the empty bottles it was great!!!!

Will have a lot of tidying up to do tomorrow but it was worse it...I love seeing the children having so much fun!!! Next Year, Jake will be able to run around too!

Happy Halloween!!!!

A day out in London...

Today, Adam and I were off to London. We went on the train and we met Nicky (Adam's sister) at Liverpool Street.

I wanted to get Nicky's Christmas present so we went to Oxford street. We had a look around the shops. Adam was feeling really tired and hungry as we were in Gap so he had a little rest on their armchair! He looks so cool on them pictures!
In the afternoon, we went to the Imax Cinema where we saw "Opening Season" in 3D. We looked so funny with these huge glasses! I felt a bit sick at first but it was so cool! We had popcorn and sweeties...We got home at 19:30! I am so tired, it has been a great day. It was lovely to see Nicky. I loved taking Adam to London, he is such a big boy now!

Jake's birthday cake...

Jake was born on Halloween night so I thought I had to make him a bit of a spooky cake! A while ago, my friend Sue came round with a book called Children's Party Cakes. She had found the perfect cake for Jake...A Spider!!
So, this afternoon, I decorated the cake with Zuleika! It was quite easy to make...The only hard part was the legs made of chocolate matchmakers as they were so fragile!
I am so pleased with the result!
Jake seemed to like his cake, Adam loved it!
I also made a few cupcakes for the party!

Count down to Halloween...

Today, I decorated the house for our Halloween Party. I was very busy putting all the decorations up while Jake's birthday cake was cooking!
In the afternoon, Zuleika came and helped me...
It looked so good and scary too!!!
We had a friendly pumkin for the door that Charlotte bought as a present, a friendly spider,
a very scary bat and a fountain of blood!
I also bought a few pumkins to carve...
When the children came home, they were so excited! Adam loved it, he was running around shouting and Jake didn't know where to look! It made me so happy to see them being so pleased! Can't wait until the party!!!

Jake was so excited and loved his first Prawn Crakers...It was a lovely evening! On the way back, Adam dropped off as he was very tired but Jake stayed awaked..It's so much fun to stay up late!!!

Chestnuts...

Today, Oliver came and spent the day with Adam. They had so much fun. This morning, we went to the wood to pick up some chestnuts. It was so much fun with the kids. Jake loved watching the boys running around! He looks like he can not wait to be able to follow them.

After, we came home and had some lunch. Then the boys did some coloring and watched TV. The week end has gone so quickly.

I am so pleased I am not working this week! Tomorrow, Martin is at home so it will be lovely. I am taking Adam to the Hairdressers and to the Dentist's. I have a busy week ahead to get ready for the Halloween party! The kids can't wait...How exciting!

Cara's Challenge #6...

Here is my LO for Cara's last challenge. I have enjoyed doing a new LO every week. For this LO, I scrapped a photo of me taken in September 1978 at Emma Fournols who must have been one of my grand-parents friend. I have chosen a French song as my journalism called "Biquette" that I love. It means "Goat" so I thought it was very appropriate for the photo!
A lady called Bethy Chambon who was related to my grand parents used to sing that song to my brother and I when we were little. She used to make us laugh so much singing "Biquette". I will always remember all those lovely evening and week end we spent with her. I used to admire you so much Bethy as a little girl.

Happy Birthday Zu!!

Last night, we went out for Zuleika's birthday with a few people from work. We had a lovely time. We went to Prezzo where we had a lovely meal and lovely wine!!! Then we went to the Oak House for a few drinks...It was very hard to get up at 6 o'clock this morning!
For her birthday, Kerry, Laura and I book her a pink fastenater!! Can't wait to borrow it!

We took some photos during the evening, they are great!

Looking really stupid on the picture with Zuleika and Kerry as I was checking I did not have a double chin!!!

Three gorgeous babes!...

Halloween Costumes...

Every year, we have a big Halloween party at home. It is so much fun to see all the children dressed up. We also carve some pumpkins and the children go round trick or treating together. So every year, I make a Halloween costume for Adam and for his best friend Oliver. This year, I took Adam to the shop to choose his pattern...We came home with a Bat costume
(left bottom corner).

So for the last few weeks, I have been very busy in the evening making their costumes. They get so excited about it. It is lovely to see Adam asking me all them questions about their costumes...
I am pleased as I have nearly finished them, only their belt to make and a few hems... I should be posting a picture of the boys in their costumes at the week end!!!

A bit of cooking...

Last Wednesday, Sue came round to do a bit of cooking with me. She showed me how to bake the perfect cupcakes. They looked so lovely and they were so yummy, all the family enjoyed them even baby Jake.
Last night, I decided to make some more and they were fabulous again...All thanks to Sue! So Thank you Sue!
Next week, I am going to make Jake's birthday cake...It is going to be a spider!! As he was born on Halloween night I thought I could chose something a bit different! I still can not believe he is going to be ONE!

Little Monster...

Jake playing at the week end with his toys. You looked so adorable little boy...Hard to believed you kept me up between 2am and 4:30am last night...You were just awaked little monster!!! When I see that cute little face and smile, I forgive you little angel.
Need to catch up on my sleep...
Bonne Nuit...

Halloween...

Last Friday, I went to Bluewater shopping with Louise. She got Jake that lovely Halloween costume. With Adam, we had so much fun getting Jake to try his costume. It was so hard to get him to smile, not move and keep his hat at the same time!

Poppy Field...

This layout is for Cara's challenge...
When we went camping, we went for a walk in the forest and suddently we came across a lovely poppy field. The Boys walked across the field talking and with their yellow raincoats, it looked so colorful!

My Elsie's Layouts...

I did them two LO at ScrapCamp in Bristol. They were the two kits we did in Elsie's class. I am very pleased with them.
I was a bit scared a first with the doodling but now I love it! You just got to get on with it. There is no special rules for it, just to be brave!!!
