Ile de Re, France...

Tomorrow morning, we are going to France for two weeks. We are going with Steve and Louise. We will meet my mum there and my brother will come and visit us with his family. We are going by car which takes a very long time!!! We will get there on Saturday. Tomorrow we will take the ferry, drive past Paris and stop for the night in an hotel in Tours. We will then finish the journey on Saturday!
Adam was so excited tonight that he could not go to sleep....It is going to be great!!! Jake should love the sand. He might not eat it this year!!! I took these photos in March as I spent a week end there in a Spa. It was a birthday treat!
Now the sky should be blue and the beach crowded!

Au Revoir! A Bientot!!!

Thinking of you...

My friend Sue is not very well. She had to go to hospital last week and tomorrow she is going to have a major operation.

So last week, I decided to scrap a special card for her to tell her that I will be thinking of her.

I have been thinking of her every day wondering how she is doing. I am very worried for her.

But I know she is very strong so she will be fine.

Good luck Sue and get well very soon. I am thinking of you.xxx
PS: Can't wait to be able to scrap with you again!!!

Le Talbooth...

Today it was Louise's Birthday! We went round for a Chinese take away. We had a lovely time.

The kids had so much fun!!! The weather was very nice so Steve decided to get the paddling pool out for them...They loved it!!! Jake was able to join them and he had so much fun...

On Friday night, Louise went to Le Talbooth in Dedham for her birthday. There is a bit of a story behind it.

Steve was going to take her out to Le Talbooth with Roger and Margaret (Steve's parent) and Margaret's daughter Diane with her partner Richard. So I told Louise we could have Ollie and Phoebe round for the night. We decided they could watch High School Musical and camp in our lounge....But it did not quite go to plan!!!

The Post Office decided to go on strike that day so Steve was not going to be able to come back in time for the meal. So he asked me if I could go with Louise. I was very excited about going but that meant Martin was going to have to look after 4 children on his own!!! Martin said he would be fine!

We had a lovely evening. The meal, the music, the atmosphere were great! We had a great time! Steve picked us up after 11:30 so I could get home to help Martin with the kids in the morning.

The children had been very good and had a good time too!!!

Happy Birthday Louise!!!

World's end...

Martin has finished the kids playhouse. He has done a great job! They love it. Now I am painting a table for them and we are going to put a few toys. We are decorating it as a Pirates' House!!
Jake loves going up and down the stairs. If Jake is in the house, he will push Adam out and try to stop him coming in!!!
On Sunday, Adam and I played on the DS in the house together...it is so much fun!!!

Well Done Daddy!!!!

5 km Race for Business

Two weeks ago, Louise and I ran the Race for Business in Chelmsford. We were running it for Martin's company Essex and Suffolk Water. We were quite excited about running it as you can see.
About 5 minutes after the start, we were in Chelmsford park when it suddenly poured down. We were so so wet!!!! Our t-shirt and trousers seemed to weight a tonne!!!! I was very pleased as we managed to finish the race and we ran all the way. It was harder than I tough but I think the weather did not help.
We did very well! 2000 people ran it. We ran the 5km in 34 minutes and finished 940 and 941!!!!!!
Martin was waiting for us near the finish line with the children. As we ran pass them Adam was shouting "Come on Mummy" which gave me the energy to finish it!!!!It was lovely to hear him shouting!!!!
We did look very wet!!!

After we went back to Martin's work and had a lovely BBQ. The kids had so much fun!

Happy Campers!!!!

Last week end, we went camping in Thetford forest near East Harling with some of our friends. We were 16 including 8 children. We had so much fun.
We were so lucky as it was pouring down on Friday. When we got there, it was dry and we managed to put the tent up without the rain. It was lovely to see the children being so excited. Jake loved his freedom!!!
On Saturday, we had a lovely walk in the wood. we stayed at the campsite most of the day as the children enjoyed going on adventure around the site and then they went swimming before their dinner. they were very tired on Saturday as they had a late night on Friday.
It rained and rained all night long on Saturday. We were thinking we would not be able to put the tent away. But as we got up, the sun came out and we maneged to have our cooked breakfast and pack before a heavy shower!!!
We had a great time!
I was very pleased to have my wellingtons that Father Christmas bought me, They were very handy in the mud!!!! I think we look very fashionable with them!!!!
